We met alot of nice people and saw alot of hot cars..... but my travels didn't end there.

We were very fortunate to be invited to the Cairns Hotrod Show as well, which took us to one of the most beautiful towns in Australia.

The weather was awesome and our time spent in Cairns was all too short. Before we realized it, it was time to head on the long trip home...

We got a call from someone in Adelaide, who had known about our little hotrod.

After a long chat, Trish hung up the phone and exclaimed "The So Cal Car has been invited to The Clipsal 500 in Adelaide"!. It was to be displayed as one of the "Top Ten Cars" in Australia...

Loaded into the newly rebuilt trailer, we headed off for the big trip down south. The rain we've been having all over the country had not dampened our spirits. Some roads were severely flooded and the only way through was down the middle of Aussie. Some parts were so remote that it was colourfully described as the "out the back of bum f@#$* Idaho". Some funny things happened when we hit one of the flooded causeways.. Our windows were down and we got showered from the outside in. All we could do was look at each other and laugh as the water was dripping off our noses...

We had a great time in Adelaide and met so many people and finally got a chance to put faces to names...
